I remember being flummoxed when she appeared in horse riding gear in one show! :D

I also think you have a point about making the Diana Prince character more interesting.Jim Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05006833955333061262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778276361957351199.post-13205410681141516202010-07-15T07:17:47.334-04:002010-07-15T07:17:47.334-04:00@Trey - Promethea handled that well, didn't it...@Trey - Promethea handled that well, didn't it. And with that, the readers weren't so invested in one version or another of Promethea, so that helped.

I wonder if there is a way around the fan-bitching problem - like how we got a new Robin by graduating Dick Grayson into Nightwing.Jim Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05006833955333061262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778276361957351199.post-49165786198891318332010-07-15T07:14:40.703-04:002010-07-15T07:14:40.703-04:00@Reno - Good point! There's also no sense of transformation if she's Wonder Woman all the time as she was in post-Crisis.

I think building a better Diana Prince is the key to building a better Wonder Woman.

In the series, all obvious flaws aside I like in the non-WWII seasons where she's kind of a regular gal and capable agent so she could be relatable as well as being clearly independent. Then she would summon forth her true power.

Also even though the show handled it stupidly the idea of her summoning variations of her costume for different needs is something my wife pointed out that she liked. She has no hate for the classic costume at all, she just doesn't like that it's the only thing she wears regardless of the mission.MattComixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14015552734150732758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778276361957351199.post-15855823727520330032010-07-05T07:34:50.081-04:002010-07-05T07:34:50.081-04:00I think the reason we didn't get the "ano...I think the reason we didn't get the "another woman gets the mantle" particularly the "another woman who appears totally unsuitable gets the mantle" is that: (1) fans tend to bitch even more about replacements than costume changes or the (temporary) loss of Paradise Island; and (2) its been done before, particularly in the Wonder Womanish Promethea.Treyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04647628467658839351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778276361957351199.post-61454573323134146892010-07-04T22:06:10.162-04:002010-07-04T22:06:10.162-04:00You forgot to mention the chokers.
